About Speaknoria

English fluency should not depend on your wallet

Speaknoria exists for a simple reason: English opens doors — to jobs, to education, to the wider world — and the people who need it most are the least able to pay for it. So we are building a complete English course, from A1 to C2, that is genuinely free.

The problem

What learners are up against

They studied grammar for years — but can't speak

Millions of learners can fill in verb tables yet freeze in a real conversation. Knowing rules is not the same as using them.

Good English teaching costs money they don't have

Quality courses, tutors, and apps with paywalls put fluent English behind a price tag. For many learners, that price is the whole barrier.

Apps teach words, not communication

Matching games and streak counters feel productive but rarely survive contact with a real human conversation.

Nobody explains in their own language

Learners whose first language is Urdu — or any other — are often taught as if English explanations work for everyone. They don't.

Our view

Why grammar alone is never enough

Grammar is necessary — but it is not sufficient. A learner can score full marks on a tenses worksheet and still be unable to order food, because speaking is a skill of the mouth and the ear, not just the mind.

Fluency comes from four things working together: reading (seeing the language), listening (hearing its rhythm), speaking (training your mouth), and repetition (meeting the same patterns until they are automatic). Remove any one of them and progress stalls.

That is why Speaknoria organises learning as a daily cycle — Read, Listen, Understand, Speak, Practice, Review, Master — with stories at the centre. Structure matters too: random lessons feel busy but lead nowhere, so every day builds on the last, from A1’s first sentences to C2’s full mastery.

How we build

Three principles behind everything

Stories first

Language lives in stories, not rule lists. Every level teaches through graded stories and real dialogues, so grammar and vocabulary arrive inside meaning.

All five skills, connected

Reading, listening, speaking, grammar, and vocabulary practise the same material together. Nothing learned in isolation, nothing forgotten unused.

Free means free

Built on free browser technology with a strict $0 AI budget, so there is no expensive backend to pass on. Free is the business model, not a trial.

Our commitment

Speaknoria is being built in the open, phase by phase, and we make three promises that will not change:

  • · Free: the core learning experience will never sit behind a paywall.
  • · Honest: we mark what exists and what is coming soon — never the other way round.
  • · Accessible: mobile-first, Urdu from day one, and designed for the phones learners actually own.
