Privacy Policy
Last updated: 4 November 2026
Speaknoria is a free English learning app. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and what rights you have — in plain words.
What we collect
Contact form: when you send us a message, we receive your name, your email address, and the message itself. We use these only to read and reply to your message.
Speaking demos: the speaking practice on this site uses your browser’s built-in speech recognition. Your voice is processed on your own device by your browser — we do not record it, upload it, or store it anywhere.
Theme preference: your light/dark mode choice is saved in your own browser (localStorage) and never leaves your device.
What we do not collect
We do not ask for payment details, addresses, or phone numbers. We do not run analytics that identify you personally at this stage. We do not sell, rent, or share your information with anyone for marketing.
Accounts and progress (future)
Accounts, saved progress, and learning analytics arrive in a later phase. When they do, this policy will be updated before they launch to describe exactly what is stored and why — and you will always be able to see and delete your own data.
Cookies
Speaknoria does not use advertising or tracking cookies. If a login system is added later, it will use the minimum cookies needed to keep you signed in, described here first.
Children
Speaknoria is designed to be safe for learners of all ages, but children should use it with a parent or teacher’s guidance, especially when sending us messages through the contact form.
Your rights
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — just use the contact form. We will respond as soon as we can.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new “last updated” date. Significant changes will be announced on the site before they take effect.
